Istanbul, 1978

She worked as a Journalist for Adam Publishing House and several magazines such as Adam Oyku (Literature), Adam Sanat (Literature and Arts), Pazartesi (Feminism) and Bugday (Ecology) between 1996 and 2001.

Producer and Radio announcer for various programmes on Açık Radyo, between 1999 and 2003. At that time she also worked for Helsinki Citizens Assembly, and was in charge of the organization of Meetings on the Bridge programme within Istanbul International Film Festival.

After graduating from Istanbul University, started her phD in Political Sciences in 2005 at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (Spain).

Since 2004 she’s been a part of the group publishing independent magazines Roll (Music and Arts / 1996-2009), Express (Politics) and Bir Bir (Arts).
