The Program's main objective is to improve the health attention in, at least, 18 rural health centres (70% of the health centers network in the region) in the Province of Cabo Delgado, Northern Mozambique, one of the poorest province in Mozambique, the seventh poorest country in the world. This improvement will come through the provision of basic services, water, sanitation, electrical energy and communication systems.

The program will also support the Maintenance Service of the Ministry of Health to assure the maintenance and replacement of the installed basic services. Moreover, the program will also improve the water and sanitation situation of aproximately 17.000 people in rural areas, providing water access, improved sanitation and also campaigning to improve the hygienic habits of the population.
