Uhelp is an App in the prototype phase that facilitates the creation or dynamization of communities of people who help each other in daily tasks. Using mobile technologies and artificial intelligence, the application allows a help applicant and a volunteer to find themselves quickly and build a community around such a provision of aid.

Uhelp provides a quick response to a request for help and will learn about members’ abilities and preferences. The application is able to recommend to the best volunteers for a particular help request and a specific need, and will allow the extension of the social networks of mutual support.

A European project

The uHelp application is a not-for-profit construction project, and is being developed in the framework of several research projects, with the collaboration of different universities and organizations. Among them we can highlight the King’s College in London, the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, the Techfugees in Paris, the ESADE Institute for Social Innovation, the One-Sided Families of Barcelona, ​​the ACCEM and the Invisibles.

The Higher Council for Scientific Research is the largest public institution dedicated to research in Spain and the third in Europe. Due to its multidisciplinary and multisectoral nature, it plays a central role in scientific and technological policy, since it covers basic research to the transfer of knowledge to the productive sector.
